General Therapy Questions
Q: What types of therapy do you offer?
A: I offer both art therapy and talk therapy for teens and adults. Sessions can be in-person or via telehealth, and I accept both self-pay and insurance.
Q: What’s the difference between art therapy and talk therapy?
A: Talk therapy focuses on verbal expression, helping clients process emotions, develop coping skills, and work through challenges. Art therapy incorporates creative expression to explore emotions, reduce stress, and promote healing, even if you don’t consider yourself artistic!
Q: Do I need to be good at art to try art therapy?
A: Not at all! Art therapy is about the process, not the final product. You don’t need any artistic skills—just an open mind.
Q: How do I know if therapy is right for me?
A: Therapy is beneficial for anyone seeking support, whether you’re dealing with anxiety, depression, stress, life transitions, or just need a safe space to process emotions. If you’re unsure, we can discuss your goals in an initial consultation.

-
60-minute sessions (in-person or telehealth, self-pay or insurance)

45-minute sessions (in-person or telehealth, self-pay or insurance)
Q: How much does therapy cost?
A: My fees depend on session length and whether you use insurance or self-pay. You can find my rates under the Booking tab.
Q: Do you take insurance?
A: Yes! I accept insurance (mostly medicaid) and also offer self-pay options. If you have questions about coverage, I recommend checking with your insurance provider.
Q: What if my insurance doesn’t cover therapy?
A: If your insurance doesn’t cover therapy, you can opt for self-pay. I also offer superbills, which you may be able to submit to your insurance for reimbursement.
Q: How do I schedule an appointment?
A: You can schedule a session by online booking. If you’re a new client having issues with the booking online option please email me and I can assist you.
Q: Do you offer virtual therapy?
A: Yes! I provide telehealth therapy for both talk therapy and art therapy sessions. You’ll need a stable internet connection and a private space for your session.
Q: What happens in the first session?
A: In our first session, we’ll discuss your reasons for seeking therapy, your goals, and any concerns you have. If you choose art therapy, I’ll explain how creative expression can be part of the process.
